My Artist Sister and Other Artists

Sister Sher has been asked to present a program at the women's art group she attends in Panama City. She's been working on a program about Georgia O'Keeffe, which she'll present Tuesday. This morning she texted me early to look up this site -
Panama City Artists - and there was a brief bio about her and the program she'll have. It looks as if her program is on Fabric Arts, but that isn't it. It probably describes something later on the program. She will have a powerpoint presentation and some magnet handouts with an O'Keeffe quote for attendees. Recently at her art workshop, she sketched this of our grandmother (whom I called Goobie). Goobie does have on glasses in the original photo, but they were rimless with narrow earpieces (1957), so practically invisible. The photo Sher had, she said she didn't even see them. Thus no glasses.

You just never know where you may come upon art in action, nor who will be performing! Amy and I dropped by Davis-Kidd Bookstore and there were all these cute little Celtic dancers about to perform! The mother of two of the children was near us with her camera - they dance in competitions and it's a big deal, sometimes involving trips to Scotland. The tiny little girl was so cute - reminded me of a spinning dancer on top of a jewelry box. The girls' hair was all really curly falls and they bounced happily with every step. This appears to be their website: Inis Acla School of Irish Dance. Looks like some of the same students.
