Today is Carolyn's birthday so we arranged a little party early this morning. I baked a cake last night (the frosting stuck to the lid but it didn't keep us from eating it), Wesley bought her a Woodwick scented oil diffuser and a little plaque about our "best friends" - dogs - from all of us. (She has a Westie named Rufus - "Rufie.") Becky led the singing of "Happy Birthday... and Many Moooooore!" Carolyn was a happy camper though she did shed a few tears. We keep wondering what we will do when the day comes we won't see each other every day! But for now, being together keeps us going!
(I told her all those people gathered in the Mall in DC were really there to celebrate her birthday!)
