Diane

The day ended on a sad note - Aunt Ginny called around 8:00 to say Diane, my second cousin and her very dear friend, had died around 7:30 tonight. She had suffered a very long time with an illness and tonight went home to be with her Lord. I called Amy and we talked a long time about her - she was very broken up about it - Diane loved people and was so full of life and joy. She helped so many others in her life and her family. I talked to Bren as well and let her know about Di. Many years ago, when I first met Diane, she and her husband Harold lived in Cherry Valley, where they taught for a year or two, then moved back to Iuka. She was a precious person - they both are and were devoted to each other. Aunt Ginny had worked with her for years at House of Fashions in Iuka especially during the summers when Diane was out of school for the summer. Diane was always upbeat and loving, always greeted me and everyone with a hug and cheer. She was very special.
