Birthday DinnerSeveral of us from the office went to Bonanza today to help Donna celebrate her birthday. She has been retired about one year and then her husband John passed away several months later, after a long illness. But Donna looks wonderful and stays very busy with exercise classes, volunteering at church, and traveling. I think she's into redecorating part of her house now. (Donna and I and our matching tops we had a few winters ago.)
The talk turned to retirement (a popular topic among us), and there were four at the table I was sitting at who planned to retire sometime in 2010! That's about one-fourth of the office staff!
In the meantime and when those retirement dates are upon us, I hope we all enjoy as good health as Donna has had and can be and do what we have looked forward to in the years ahead.
