GETTING READY FOR HOT WEATHER AND A RETREAT

Paul spent the day working on his old truck, installing an air conditioner he ordered recently. Since the temperature was around 66 today (after last week's snow!), it's high time to get ready. But I think it's supposed to rain the next three days. And Groundhog Day is coming up, which also is Paul's brother David's birthday. I wish Punsxutawney Phil would just stay underground there in Pennsylvania, or it be a cloudy day...

First, the instruction book...

After he got it assembled, getting it under the dashboard...

Gloves and towels and rags and shammies (chamois cloths) and things...

The "Travelin' Buddies" have not been traveling in quite some time, unfortunately. So I've put a date out there for us, tentatively, for a long weekend of February 17 and days following. Hopefully, we can all manage our schedules and spend some time together. Only one of us has a "real" job now, so maybe she can get an extra day off. I think a trip to Iuka would be just the thing. There may be buttercups up by then, jonquils, and yellow gal (forsythia) blooming. At least we have it in the works; if not that weekend, then another one.
