Amy's Chili Recipe

This is the chili Amy made last weekend for us. You can adjust the spiciness of the chili seasoning and/or salsa to suit your tastebuds. This was pretty hot to me, but delicious. Don't drain the beans, just put it all in there.

2 pounds of ground beef - browned and drained

1 pkg chili seasoning (any brand)

1 large can tomato sauce

1 cup water

1 can light red kidney beans

1 can black beans

1 large jar of salsa (chunky or finely chopped)

Mix all and let simmer. This will be ready almost immediately, but flavors mix well if simmered.

Serve with shredded cheese of your choice (cheddar is always great) and/or sour cream; crackers or cornbread.

This makes quite a large pan of chili and would serve at least 8-10.

Thanks, Amy!

My sister-in-law told me you had this recipe up...her comment...

"Feeds 8 to 10 people..."

Not at her house. She makes a roasting pan full of chili. I've never asked her how many pound of meat she uses...I'm afraid to ask.

Sounds good!
