Repeat of New Year's Day
Basically we did the same thing we did yesterday. First we went by Lifeway bookstore and I got cards and a copy of the read the Bible through that Bren is using this year. Then to Office Depot nearby for labels, a notebook and some pens. This time at the movie we saw "Up in the Air." Very good. I imagine having a HD screen as big as that, but then I'm thankful for the one we have, which is large enough. But just imagine... I've always enjoyed movies from the time I can remember. The picture quality - you wonder if it can get any better (remember your first color TV) and how could they improve on HD. But I'm sure "they" will. Afterward we ate at Ruby Tuesday's, Paul had his almost usual chicken brocolli alfredo and I had the chicken fresco/steamed brocolli/garlic mashed potatoes which was delicious. On the way home we stopped for coffee and another hot chocolate. This could become a habit; the hot chocolate, anyway. Perfect weather for it and so good, sweet and hot! And chocolatey! We've had a good weekend together. I told him I'm happy getting to go to the movies with him every few years! (He isn't so much a movie-goer-watcher as I am. But this year for some reason, football has made more sense to me. Maybe it's all the HD channels that carry them, and exposure to them. And Paul is a good play explainer.)
Verrrry cold! Once home I dragged out Paul's heaviest coat and down vest, put on earmuffs and hat, pulled the jacket/hood over me and off Oscar and I went. Mercy! How do his little paws stand it! I had a sweatshirt for him once, and a jacket! But the last time I tried to put it on him, it seemed to terrify him. It is so cold I have on two overshirts instead of the usual one, just sitting around.
We watched the Liberty Bowl (AR and East Carolina) and Arkansas won in overtime. Of course, Paul is a Razorback fan except when they play MS State.
