Oscar is five years old today! I sang Happy Birthday to him this morning and he just looked at me as if to say, "Where's my cookie?" He's such a baby and we like him just a little bit. Somewhat like with "real" children, what did we talk about before we had him?? He's so spoiled and definitely a Mama's boy, but he likes Paul quite a bit, too.
Then tonight our church hosted (hostessed) "Glorious Gift of Christmas" for the fourth year. It doesn't seem possible this is the fourth one! Again there were gorgeous tables, so much talent displayed, creativity and imagination, all pointing to our Saviour's birth and HIS Glorious Gift to us. Jennifer Sands was our speaker this year and gave her testimony and story of loss of her husband on 9/11 in Tower One, and ultimately finding comfort, love and salvation in Christ. She has written three books. Debra Taylor hostessed (is that a word?) a table both nights and we (members of Sunday School class) sat at her table tonight, the second night. There were over 700 ladies both nights in attendance.
I will probably regret staying up so late, but I really wanted the pictures downloaded tonight. They turned out really well. We so appreciate everyone's work and time to put this together. I had a table the first year and I know it takes some preparation.
