First, yesterday was baby brother Steve's birthday; he is 49!! I'm 13 years older, so that's impossible, since I'm only 40 myself. (I wish.)
I wrote last night, using the laptop, not using the mouse. Once again I deleted everything. Now I don't remember much of what I even wrote... What else is new? So keep the mouse handy...
Sister Sher texted me today that she and her dog Bailey were walking (she's trying to do better so he will do his territorial business outside), and making pictures of garages. She sent me a couple but they were kind of dark. The house she bought doesn't have a carport or garage and she's trying to get brother Steve to come build one for her.
As for Bailey, after two miles, he probably promised her the moon and never to teetee on the floor again.
Tonight Paul and I started watching the Miami/Wisconsin ballgame, I dozed, Oscar worried one of his toys, and I finally got up to start the dishwasher. Oscar's kennel door was closed, precautionary to his hiding from Paul so he wouldn't have to go for a walk, but once it was opened, in he went, ready for bed. Paul went to bed. (Not in the kennel....) Now I'm awake.
The end of the year. In years past we've gone to Jean's, gone to Papa John's in Crawfordsville, gone to bed before midnight. I have no idea what we'll do this Thursday night, but as cold as it is, probably not be out much if at all. Friday I plan to cook blackeyed peas with ham, watch more football, maybe watch a movie, maybe read a book. Oh, the possibilities are endless! Most of all I just want to be warm and at home, nestled in with Paul, Oscar and Bitty.

A prominent citizen of Iuka passed away yesterday - Mrs. Maxine Cutshall of the Cutshall Funeral Home family. Her daugher Dianne is a year younger than Bren and I, and her grandson Bret went to funeral/embalming school with Amy. Miss Maxine was very instrumental in Bren's life when her mother was very ill and ultimately passed away; Bren was nine years old. Bren's dad, Cecil, was most upset yesterday when he called Bren and told her it would be soon. He, Rosa, his wife, and Maxine are all residents of the same assisted living facility. Her funeral is Thursday.
