Veteran's Day

We've had family members in the military for as long as I can remember: my father, stepfather, uncles, a cousin, my sister (though Civil Service, still under military leadership). I tease Sher a lot about all the days she has off, and she'll remind me how her department keeps track of so many military bases' expenses, etc., and how every September they work 12-hour-plus days to close out the year.

I appreciate all the hard-working, dedicated servicemen and women who have and continue to protect our nation's freedoms.

It occurs to me there are other veterans - pastoral workers and missionaries who have given of themselves and sometimes their lives for spreading the gospel message of freedom in Christ.

Thank you, every one.

God bless America.
