Blueberry Cobbler

I made a quick blueberry cobbler from some of the blueberries we had in the freezer which we got at this summer at Killoughs. It turned out pretty good - it was too sweet, though. If I make another one I'll cut down on the sugar and need to put a little cornstarch in the blueberries for thickening.

Last night was autumn-cool and Pauley was shivering out in the yard. Amy got an old blanket and towel and made a bed for him. He stayed covered after she came inside, so I guess it warmed him up. His allergies had about de-haired him, but under Amy's watchful care, it's growing back now.

Paul and Amy plan to go to Starkville Saturday for the first football game vs Jackson State (Jackson, MS). Sunday I think I'm going home with her for a few days. She'll be on call with her new job at Northridge and may or may not have to go, but I have plenty I can occupy myself with - books, magazines, paint pens. It'll be good for her and me. Actually, Paul suggested it; I had not even thought of it. I knew I was going to miss her so much when she goes home, so this will help in the transition all the way around. She said she'd walk Oscar. I've been taking him out in the morning just to the front yard, and once I walked to the Lee's, but by the time I got back, my foot was screaming, "Get OFF of me!"

The woodburned sign Paul did for the garage...
