Abraham's Road
Mama has been in Tupelo hospital since last Wednesday (August 14). It has been a long and eventful week with twists and turns and revelations.
We're waiting now for documents to be prepared so that Mama can be admitted to a nursing home in Iuka. It isn't what we expected or wanted, but every day brings its own plan. Her doctor said she can't live alone, and we are hoping this will be short-term. It is one of the hardest things we've ever done, and there have been quite a few of those in the past!
This morning the Bible reading was Hebrews 11:8 "By faith Abraham, obeyed and went to a place where he didn't know he was going." (my paraphrase) We have all been down Abraham's road this week. Mama is trusting us; we are trusting God and each other. We are also trusting God's provision through so many people who have helped us see and accomplish the next step on the way. Thank you, everyone, for your prayers.
